AI training for businesses – using AI assistants and agents safely

In a one-day training your team learns what AI assistants and agents can do today, where they add the most value in your business and how to use them safely – whether with Claude, ChatGPT/Codex or Copilot. Built for small and mid-sized businesses, hands-on and based on your own tasks.

starting point

Typical starting points

  • Employees already use AI – but everyone differently, without shared rules and often with private accounts.
  • It's unclear which data may go into an AI tool and which may not.
  • First attempts were disappointing, so AI is seen as overhyped internally.
  • There are so many tools that nobody knows which one suits which task.
  • Since the EU AI Act, companies must ensure their staff have sufficient AI literacy.

deliverables

What I actually do

  • One-day training on-site at your premises, in the Hamburg and Rotenburg (Wümme) area or remote
  • Fundamentals – what AI assistants and agents can do and where their limits are
  • Tool-agnostic – Claude, ChatGPT/Codex as well as Microsoft and GitHub Copilot
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP) – connecting AI safely to your own data and systems
  • Security and data protection – data classes, permissions, prompt injection, human in the loop
  • Hands-on part with your own tasks – where AI adds the most value in your business
  • Roadmap for the next steps and, if you like, support with the rollout

Using AI effectively – not just trying it out

Almost every company has tried AI by now. The difference between a nice experiment and real value rarely lies in the tool, but in knowledge: which tasks are suitable? How do you phrase them to get good results? And how do you check whether the result is right?

That is what the training is about. Your team doesn’t learn the buttons of a single product but the principles behind them – so the knowledge holds up as the tools evolve.

From assistant to agent

AI assistants no longer just answer questions. As agents they read documents, search systems, write code and complete multi-step tasks. Through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) they can be connected to your own tools and data.

That opens up big opportunities – and new risks. So I don’t just show what’s possible but also how to introduce agents safely: with clear permissions, reviewed data flows and a human who approves important decisions.

The training day

  • Fundamentals: how AI assistants and agents work, what they do well and where they make mistakes.
  • Tools: Claude, ChatGPT/Codex and Copilot compared – shared principles, sensible areas of use.
  • Asking well: giving context, checking results, building workflows.
  • MCP in practice: connecting AI to your own data and systems – and what to watch out for.
  • Security: data protection, permissions, prompt injection and clear rules for everyday work.
  • Your use cases: together we find the tasks where AI adds the most value in your business.

By the end of the day your team has a shared understanding, first results of its own and a concrete roadmap for the next steps.

Who the training is for

The training is aimed at small and mid-sized businesses that want to introduce AI safely and effectively – management, business departments and IT alike. As a developer and architect who uses AI in projects every day, I bring practice rather than slides. In the Hamburg and Rotenburg (Wümme) area I’m happy to come to you; elsewhere the training takes place on-site or remote.

faq

Frequently asked questions

Do participants need prior knowledge?

No. The training is aimed at business and management staff as well as technical teams. I adapt depth and examples to your group beforehand.

Which AI tool should we use?

That depends on your tasks, your existing IT and your data protection requirements. In the training you learn principles that apply to all common tools – and get an assessment of which one fits your use best.

What is MCP and why does it matter?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants access tools and data – such as your ticket system, your documents or your database. It turns a chat window into an assistant that does real work. That is exactly why a clear understanding of permissions and risks belongs with it.

Does the training help with the AI literacy obligation under the EU AI Act?

Yes. Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires companies that use AI to ensure sufficient AI literacy among their staff. The training covers exactly these fundamentals – including opportunities, risks and safe use.

What does the training cost?

The training is offered as a day package. The price depends on group size, location and preparation for your use cases – I clarify both with you in a short call.
